The USDA Rural Development will hold a preconference session training during the Kansas Rural Water Association's Annual Conference. The USDA session is March 27 at 9:30 a.m. at the Century II Convention Center, Wichita. To register, visit:

This training will provide an overview of the newly released guidance for the Use of Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee (EJCDC), documents on Water and Waste Projects with USDA Rural Utility Service (RUS) financial assistance (RUS Bulletin 1780-26), and guidance for the Implementation of American Iron and Steel (AIS) Requirements with RUS financial assistance (RUS Bulletin 1780-35). In addition to the guidance, USDA staff will be presenting the newly released electronic preliminary engineering report (ePER) capabilities for engineers to deliver preliminary engineering reports to the agency, and providing updates on the agency's agreements for environmental clearance reviews. This training will help engineers, environmental consultants, and other professionals who provide services to assist applicants in preparing engineering and National Environmental Policy Act documents.
