Senate Ag Committee Announces Farm Bill Consideration

U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Chairman Pat Roberts, R-Kan., and Ranking Member Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., announced the Committee will hold a business meeting to consider the 2018 Senate Farm Bill. Legislative text and summaries will be available at ag.senate.gov prior to the meeting.

"We are pleased to announce the Senate Agriculture Committee's timely consideration of the 2018 Farm Bill," the Senators said. "It has been more than a year of travelling across the country listening to farmers, ranchers, rural communities, and those in need. Now the time has come to put what we've learned into a bipartisan bill that will provide much-needed certainty for agriculture, families, and rural America."

The meeting will be June 13 beginning at 9:30 a.m.in 328A Russell Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.

The business meeting will be webcast live on ag.senate.gov.
