Foster Named Regional Director for Iowa State University Extension

Marybeth Foster has accepted the position of regional director with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach serving Clayton, Delaware, Dubuque and Jackson counties in northeast Iowa. She begins the position June 1. As regional director, Foster will provide administrative leadership to county extension offices that meet legal obligations of the extension districts and oversee delivery of educational programs that align with the needs of the area.

Foster currently is the strategies and systems manager with Iowa 4-H, the youth development program of ISU Extension and Outreach. She also has ISU Extension and Outreach experience as a Community and Economic Development program manager and as the Dubuque County director. Previously, she was the executive director for the Iowa Credit Union Foundation.

"Marybeth has much experience in organizational accountability and community development. She has worked with public and private boards, managed budgets and supervised teams. We are pleased she has accepted the position of regional director," said Andrea Nelson, assistant vice president with ISU Extension and Outreach. "We congratulate and welcome her to her new role with ISU Extension and Outreach."

Foster has her bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication from Iowa State University. She received her master's in public administration from University of Kansas.
