Seneca, Kansas-based Ag Partners Cooperative, Inc. is expanding its workforce development efforts through the Kansas Farm Bureau’s (KFB) Rural Kansas Apprenticeship Program (RKAP). The cooperative is hiring three operations specialist apprentices to support its grain and agronomy operations while providing participants with valuable career-building opportunities in agriculture.
The apprenticeship positions will be based at Ag Partners’ locations in Axtell, Belvue, and Wamego. Participants will receive paid, hands-on training in grain handling, fertilizer operations, equipment maintenance, customer service, and workplace safety, while also working toward earning a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Ag Partners sees apprenticeship programs as an effective way to recruit and develop skilled employees. The cooperative has previously benefited from the program and continues to invest in workforce training to create long-term career pathways for individuals interested in the agricultural sector.
