Kansas dairy regulation update public hearing

Kansas dairy regulation update public hearing

By Scout Nelson

The Kansas Department of Agriculture (KDA) will conduct a public hearing at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 2, 2023. The focus is the adoption of revisions to K.A.R. 4-7-716.

These updates aim to reflect the current standards set by the Food and Drug Administration for milk and dairy products, ensuring public health compliance throughout their production and transportation.

This key event will be hosted at the KDA office located at 1320 Research Park Dr. in Manhattan. For those who prefer a virtual experience, a video conferencing option is also available. To get involved in the virtual discussion, interested individuals should pre-register on the KDA website. Written comments are welcome, either submitted online or mailed to the KDA's address.

For any special accommodation or inquiries, please reach out to Ronda Hutton at Ronda.Hutton@ks.gov or call 785-564-6715. If you need the regulations in a more accessible format or any other special arrangements, please notify at least two working days before the event.
