The Kansas Farm Bureau (KFB) Foundation for Agriculture has announced that it is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2025 academic year. This initiative aligns with the Foundation's core mission to support educational pursuits within the agricultural sector.
KFB President Joe Newland emphasized the organization's dedication to fostering the next generation of agricultural leaders. "We are so proud to support students who not only excel academically but also demonstrate a strong commitment to agriculture and their communities," said Newland.
The scholarship program is extensive, offering up to 47 awards to eligible students attending universities, community colleges, and technical schools across Kansas. These scholarships are designed for students who show a significant commitment to the agricultural industry through leadership roles and community involvement. A requirement for applicants is that either they or their parents must hold an active membership with the Kansas Farm Bureau.
Interested students can find more details, including application guidelines and forms, on the official Kansas Farm Bureau website at www.kfb.org/scholarships. The deadline for submission of applications is set for March 1, ensuring all prospective candidates have ample time to prepare their submissions.
Over the past decade, the KFB Foundation for Agriculture has distributed over $250,000 in scholarships. This substantial investment highlights the Foundation’s commitment to ensuring the vibrancy and sustainability of the agriculture sector through supporting the education of its future leaders.
With these scholarships, the Kansas Farm Bureau continues to affirm its role in promoting agricultural education and supporting students who are poised to become the future stewards of this critical industry.
