This year, the Kansas Livestock Foundation (KLF) invites prospective scholars to apply for scholarships supporting academic pursuits in agriculture or related fields for the fall 2025 semester.
The application deadline is April 7, and applicants must be graduates of a Kansas high school planning to enroll at a Kansas community or senior college. This opportunity is designed to encourage interest in agricultural education and promote the development of future leaders in this essential industry.
Each year, KLF evaluates numerous applications from students with varying ambitions, including veterinary medicine and agribusiness. To simplify the submission process, a single online form applies to all available scholarships, ensuring consistent review of every applicant’s qualification. This unified approach saves time and helps the KLF maintain a thorough evaluation of each candidate.
Currently, around 50 prospective students have submitted applications for 2025 scholarships. Last year, the program received 183 applications, highlighting a strong, ongoing desire among Kansas students to advance their knowledge in agricultural sciences. By offering scholarships, KLF aims to reduce financial barriers and further spark interest in exploring careers that sustain local communities.
These scholarships are made possible by multiple allied industry partners, along with the proceeds from the KLF Club Calf Sale. Additional funding comes from individuals who create scholarships in honor of family members. Support from organizations like the Kansas CattleWomen also plays a crucial role in extending these educational opportunities.
Beyond financial assistance, KLF scholarships open doors to a network of individuals and businesses dedicated to fostering innovation and success within Kansas agriculture. Recipients gain industry connections that can help guide their academic and professional journeys. Interested students should ensure their applications are complete and submitted before the April 7 deadline to be considered for these scholarships.
