By Scout Nelson

The Kansas 4-H All Star Livestock Judging Team achieved a remarkable victory at the National 4-H Livestock Judging Contest held on November 19, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. Competing against teams from across the nation, the Kansas team stood out for their exceptional skills and teamwork.

The team is a composite group formed from top-performing 4-H members who excelled in tryouts and practices following the 4-H Livestock Sweepstakes events held earlier in the fall. Their dedication and hard work culminated in this outstanding performance.

The team secured top positions in various categories, placing 1st in Performance Cattle and Sheep, 2nd in Swine and Reasons, and 3rd in Beef. These achievements highlight the versatility and expertise of the team in livestock judging.

The team was coached by a skilled mentor who guided them through rigorous preparation. The victory underscores the strength of Kansas 4-H programs in developing skilled and knowledgeable young leaders in agriculture.

Participants and supporters can access the complete results of the contest at the official JudgingCard website for a detailed breakdown of scores and rankings.

This accomplishment not only brings pride to Kansas but also emphasizes the importance of 4-H programs in nurturing talent and fostering agricultural excellence. The Kansas 4-H Livestock Judging Team's success is an inspiration for aspiring young agriculturalists.
