The Kansas Junior Livestock Show (KJLS) awarded $22,500 in scholarships to 12 exhibitors during its 2026 event in Hutchinson, Kansas. The awards recognize students for their achievements in livestock projects, leadership and education.
Since 1993, the KJLS scholarship program has distributed more than $620,000 to youth pursuing higher education. The program continues to support future agricultural leaders across Kansas.
Top recipients Cami Miller and Cassidy Dalquest each received $2,750 scholarships. Four other exhibitors earned $2,000 scholarships for their involvement in livestock programs and youth leadership activities.
Additional recipients included Jewel Endicott, Leah Howard and Aden Grathwohl, who each received $1,800 awards. Hannah Fieser and Katie Aubert earned $1,300 scholarships, while Genayla Warnken received a $1,000 scholarship.
The scholarship program is supported by organizations and donors committed to agricultural education and youth development. Major contributors included Cargill, Farm Credit Associations of Kansas, the Coonrod Family Foundation and several community-supported scholarship funds.
Industry partnerships also help support the Kansas Junior Livestock Show. Innovative Livestock Services LLC sponsored the beef show, while Cargill sponsored the sheep and goat shows.
The scholarship program is open to students pursuing post-secondary education and helps offset educational expenses. Through continued donor and sponsor support, KJLS continues to invest in the next generation of agricultural leaders.
