Kansas Leaders Chosen for 2025 Program

By Scout Nelson

The Kansas Chamber and Kansas Chamber Education Foundation have announced the 40 Kansans selected for the 2025 Leadership Kansas class, one of the state’s most distinguished leadership development programs.

Since its establishment in 1979, Leadership Kansas has played a crucial role in shaping future leaders by fostering awareness of economic, business, and political issues across the state. Alumni of this program have taken on leadership roles at various levels, contributing to Kansas' development.

"Since 1979, LK has fostered greater awareness and understanding of statewide economic, business, and political issues among the leaders of our state. LK alumni have gone on to key leadership roles at the local, state, and national levels," said Kansas Chamber President & CEO Alan Cobb. "The Chamber and Foundation are excited to welcome the newest class and wish them the best during their eight-month journey learning more about our great state."

The selection process was highly competitive, with over 500 nominations submitted. After thorough review, a selection committee of LK alumni carefully chose 40 participants, ensuring diversity in geography, ethnicity, occupation, and gender.

The 2025 program, running from April to November, includes visits to key Kansas cities such as Dodge City, Hays, Kansas City, Salina, and Wichita. Participants will engage in three-day training sessions featuring discussions on business, education, agriculture, public policy, economic development, and government.

"Leadership Kansas is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," said LK Executive Director Aaron Miller. "Participants meet many of Kansas’ distinguished business and government leaders and become stronger leaders, better prepared to contribute to their communities and our state."

With its commitment to leadership excellence, the program continues to inspire individuals to take on impactful roles in their communities, strengthening Kansas' future.
