Kansas Soybean Board Meeting Set for February

Kansas Soybean Board Meeting Set for February

By Scout Nelson

The Kansas Soybean Commission (KSC) will hold its spring meeting on February 28 in Denver, Colorado, aligning with the 2024 Commodity Classic. The meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will cover key topics related to budget management, program updates, and industry collaboration.

During the meeting, commissioners will review the checkoff budget and fiscal audits, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial management. Updates on various soybean programs and initiatives will also be discussed, highlighting ongoing efforts to support soybean production and research.

A significant part of the agenda will focus on the United Soybean Board election process, which plays a crucial role in representing industry interests at the national level. Aligning the meeting with the Commodity Classic allows commissioners to engage with national soybean organizations and strengthen industry partnerships.

In addition to the scheduled discussions, commissioners may enter an executive session to address confidential contractual matters.

Individuals interested in obtaining a detailed agenda or participating virtually can contact KSC Administrator Kaleb Little at little@kansassoybeans.org or reach out to the Kansas Soybean office.
