Randy Blach, Chief Executive Officer of CattleFax, will return to the Kansas Livestock Association (KLA) Convention & Expo to deliver his annual cattle market outlook. The event will be held November 18-20,2026, in Manhattan, Kansas, bringing together cattle producers and industry professionals from across the region.
Blach will speak during the Membership Breakfast, where he will discuss current cattle market conditions and provide projections for 2027. His presentation will focus on the outlook for herd expansion and the potential impact on cattle and beef prices.
A major topic will be the progress of U.S. herd rebuilding efforts following years of drought, high production costs, and reduced cattle inventories. Blach will examine current cowherd numbers and how they may influence future beef supplies and market trends.
His analysis will also cover important factors affecting the cattle industry, including feed and production costs, competition from other protein sources, and domestic and international beef demand. These insights are intended to help producers better understand market opportunities and challenges in the year ahead.
With more than 40 years of experience in cattle market analysis, Blach is widely recognized for providing data-driven forecasts and industry intelligence. Since joining CattleFax in 1981, he has played a key role in helping producers make informed business and risk-management decisions.
The market outlook session is sponsored by Elanco Animal Health. Attendees can expect a detailed review of market fundamentals, supply trends, demand factors, and price expectations for the cattle and beef sectors.
Producers interested in attending the KLA Convention & Expo can register for the event and arrange accommodations through the association’s registration system.
