KLA Roundtable Meetings Begin Next Week

By Scout Nelson

Kansas Livestock Association (KLA) roundtable meetings are set to begin next week, offering members a chance to discuss key agricultural issues and organizational goals. This year’s lineup includes six in-person sessions across Kansas and one virtual meeting for broader participation.

The in-person meetings will be held in several locations: October 28 in Attica; October 30 in Hiawatha and Thayer; November 3 in Great Bend and Junction City; and November 5 in Scott City. The virtual roundtable will take place on November 10, allowing members unable to travel to still take part in the discussions.

All in-person roundtable meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. Central Time and will include a complimentary beef dinner for attendees. These gatherings are designed to bring together livestock producers, industry partners, and association members to share ideas, discuss challenges, and explore opportunities for improvement within the organization.

Members are encouraged to attend prepared to discuss current issues affecting the livestock sector and provide input on how KLA can continue to better serve its members across the state.

The meetings serve as an open platform for collaboration and community-building, strengthening connections within Kansas agriculture.

To RSVP for a session, participants can email shelbi@kla.org or call (785) 273-5115 with the names of those attending and their chosen meeting location. Members signing up for the virtual meeting should also include their email address to receive an official invitation link.

As KLA continues to focus on advocacy, education, and service to its members, these roundtables remain a vital part of building stronger engagement and addressing the evolving needs of Kansas’s livestock industry.
