Livestock Health Summit Set in Kansas

The Animal Health Intelligence Summit will be held on April 29, 2026, at HP Spur, 453 M Avenue, Council Grove, Kansas. The event is organized by the Institute for Digital Agriculture and Advanced Analytics and the National Agricultural Biosecurity Center at Kansas State University. The summit aims to promote innovation in animal health through data and advanced analytics.

The event will bring together cattle producers, veterinarians, researchers, and industry experts. It will focus on how data driven tools can improve animal health management, preparedness, and farm decision making. The summit is designed to strengthen collaboration between science and industry for better livestock outcomes.

The venue, HP Spur, is a new educational facility in Council Grove, Kansas. It is owned by the manager of Hy Plains Feedyard and will host one of its first major educational events during this summit. The space is expected to support learning and knowledge sharing among participants.

Attendees will receive updates from experts at the Kansas Department of Agriculture and Kansas State University’s Center for Outcomes Research and Epidemiology. These sessions will cover emerging animal health threats and important issues affecting the cattle industry. The focus will be on improving awareness and preparedness.

The National Agricultural Biosecurity Center and its research partner, Decision Innovation Solutions, will also present new research findings. These include tools and data analysis methods designed to support better decision making and strengthen industry resilience. Registration for the summit is available online.
