The Kansas Livestock Association Political Action Council (KLA PAC) is inviting members to share their opinions on candidates running in the upcoming 2026 Kansas primary election. The candidate's filing deadline is set for June 1, after which the review process will begin.
Following the deadline, the KLA PAC will meet to evaluate candidates for the August 4 primary election. During this meeting, the council will discuss and recommend which candidates should receive financial contributions and official endorsements. These recommendations will then be presented to the board of directors for final approval.
Member participation plays an important role in this process. Individuals are encouraged to provide feedback on specific candidates and election races. This input helps ensure that decisions reflect the needs and priorities of the agricultural community.
KLA PAC focuses on supporting candidates who promote policies that benefit agriculture. These candidates are expected to align with the association’s goals, which include strengthening the livestock industry and supporting rural development. By backing up such candidates, the organization aims to promote policies that improve the future of agriculture.
The PAC operates through voluntary contributions. It is important to note that no membership dues are used to fund its activities. Instead, financial support comes directly from individuals who choose to donate. This ensures transparency and allows members to actively support the causes they believe in.
Members are encouraged not only to share their feedback but also to contribute financially if possible. Donations help the PAC continue its efforts to support agriculture-focused leadership and policies. Those interested in contributing can visit the official website.
By taking part in this process, members can help shape the future of agriculture and ensure strong representation in government.
