Join the 2024 Kansas Ag rates survey

The Kansas Department of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Land Use Survey Office at Kansas State University, is calling on producers, cooperatives, and local agribusinesses to engage in the 2024 Kansas Custom Rates Survey.

The survey, open until April 30, aims to collect essential data on charges for custom work, feed preparation, and machinery rental across the state.

This initiative helps both providers and consumers of custom agricultural services understand the current market rates, ensuring they remain competitive and sustainable. The survey is designed to be user-friendly and confidential, requiring less than 15 minutes to complete.

Leah Tsoodle, a point of contact at Kansas State University, is available to assist those who prefer a paper copy of the survey or have any inquiries. She can be reached at ltsoodle@ksu.edu or by phone at (785) 532-3509.

Participation in this survey is crucial for maintaining the health and competitiveness of Kansas's agricultural sector. It provides valuable insights that help stakeholders make informed decisions regarding their operations and services.
