Kansas State University's College of Agriculture has announced the selection of 33 students to serve as ambassadors for the upcoming academic year. These ambassadors, chosen for their academic excellence and leadership capabilities, are set to play a crucial role in welcoming prospective students and their families, offering campus tours, and fostering a sense of community within the college.
The ambassador program is open to students within the College of Agriculture who demonstrate a strong academic record and leadership skills. These students, once selected, undergo a comprehensive training program through the Agriculture Leadership Program to further their professional and personal development.
The new group of ambassadors hails from a diverse array of agricultural disciplines and includes students from both Kansas and across the country. From agricultural education to animal sciences and agricultural economics, these ambassadors represent a broad spectrum of the college's academic offerings.
The group also boasts representatives from several states outside Kansas, including California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Texas.
This initiative is part of the College of Agriculture's ongoing efforts to connect with prospective students, showcasing the opportunities available within the college and the broader agricultural sector.
Through their activities, ambassadors aim to provide a welcoming atmosphere for new students and to share valuable resources and experiences that highlight the strength and diversity of K-State's agricultural programs.
As these new ambassadors embark on their roles, they carry the responsibility of embodying the values and aspirations of the College of Agriculture, playing a crucial role in shaping the future of the agricultural community at Kansas State University.
