Topsoil moisture supplies rated 37% very short, 32% short, 30% adequate, and 1% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 34% very short, 34% short, 31% adequate, and 1% surplus.
Winter wheat condition rated 13% very poor, 23% poor, 38% fair, 23% good, and 3% excellent. Winter wheat jointed was 49%, behind 65% last year and 60% for the five-year average.
Corn planted was 21%, near 19% last year, and equal to average. Emerged was 1%, near 5% last year and 3% average.
Soybeans planted was 3%, near 2% last year and 1% average.
Sorghum planted was 1%.
Cotton planted was 1%.
