Kansas Farmers Union Sets 2026 Policies

By Scout Nelson

Kansas Farmers Union (KFU) will host its 2025 Annual Convention from November 18–19, 2025, at the Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview in Wichita, Kansas. The yearly gathering offers members the opportunity to set organizational policy priorities, elect leadership, and engage with speakers on important agricultural issues.

The event will begin on Tuesday, November 18, with registration opening at 7:30 a.m. The morning session will officially open at 9:00 a.m. with a welcome message, land acknowledgment, flag salute, and call to order. These opening activities help set the tone for two full days of discussion, participation, and member engagement.

The agenda includes a mental health speaker at 9:30 a.m., highlighting the importance of well-being in the agricultural community. At 11:00 a.m., nominations and caucusing will take place for the KFU Board and National Farmers Union Convention delegates.

At 11:15 a.m., attendees will hear a Farmers Union history presentation led by Tom and Kate Giessel, offering valuable insight into the organization’s long-standing role in rural advocacy and community leadership.

Lunch will begin at 12:00 p.m., along with the opening of the silent auction, an annual tradition that supports the organization’s efforts and programs. The event will continue into the following day with additional educational sessions, policy discussions, and organizational updates.

Kansas Farmers Union members meet each year to ensure that policy decisions reflect the collective voice of Kansas agricultural communities. The convention provides a platform for learning, leadership development, and collaboration on issues that matter to members.

Attendance is open to KFU members and invited participants, with all sessions held at the Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview, located at 400 W Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67202. More details will be shared as the event approaches.
