The Kansas Department of Agriculture is inviting interested and qualified individuals to apply for positions on its Marketing Advisory Board. This board plays an important role in offering guidance and suggestions for programs that support the growth of agriculture in Kansas.
The advisory board works closely with different initiatives such as agricultural business development, international trade, market expansion, and local food systems. It also supports efforts like From the Land of Kansas, agricultural workforce development, and education programs. Members help improve awareness and promote innovation in agriculture, which is the largest industry in the state.
Serving on this board is an opportunity to contribute ideas and shape key decisions that impact farmers, businesses, and communities. Selected members will serve a four-year term and participate in quarterly meetings. These meetings provide a platform to discuss plans, review progress, and suggest improvements for ongoing programs.
Individuals who wish to apply must submit important documents. These include a resume, a statement of interest or a cover letter, and a tax clearance confirmation of PDF. Applications should be sent by email to Suzanne Ryan Numrich, Director of Agriculture Marketing Advocacy and Outreach, at Suzanne.Numrich@ks.gov.
Applicants can learn more details about the board and the application process by visiting this official link: https://agriculture.ks.gov/MarketingAdvisoryBoard
The deadline to submit applications is August 1, 2026. Selected members will attend the first board meeting of the new fiscal year on September 18 at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about agriculture and want to make a positive impact. By joining the board, members can support growth, encourage innovation, and help strengthen the agricultural sector in Kansas for the future.
