Kansas 4H Enrollment Opens for New Year

By Scout Nelson

The new 4-H year in Kansas officially begins on October 1. This marks the opening of enrollment and re-enrollment for all youth via the Kansas 4-H Online system. Each participant must ensure that their enrollment is completed in time to enjoy all program benefits and opportunities.

Re-enrollment must be completed by November 1. If youth fail to meet this deadline, they will become ineligible for key program features, including exhibitor premiums, participation in premium auctions, and eligibility to hold leadership positions at the county or district level. Timely enrollment ensures that students can fully engage in the hands-on educational experiences and community activities that 4-H provides.

Kansas 4-H offers programs that foster leadership, personal growth, and practical skills in agriculture, science, and community development. By enrolling on time, youth gain access to educational workshops, competitions, and mentorship opportunities designed to strengthen skills in these areas.

Parents and youth are encouraged to complete the enrollment process promptly to avoid missing any opportunities. The Kansas State University Research and Extension (KSRE) Meadowlark 4-H department provides support and guidance throughout the process. Additional details are available on their official website at https://www.meadowlark.k-state.edu/4-h/enrollment.html.

For questions or assistance, participants can contact Heather at 785-863-2212. Completing the enrollment on time ensures that every youth can fully participate in 4-H projects, leadership roles, and county events throughout the year, making the most of this unique educational program.
