By Scout Nelson

The Kansas Department of Agriculture's Marketing and Promotions Advisory Board is gearing up for its next meeting, scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 15. This regular session is set to take place at the KDA office, located at 1320 Research Park Dr., Manhattan.

The board's mission is to empower the Kansas agricultural community through innovative programs and solutions. These initiatives aim to foster the growth and expansion of the agriculture sector, simultaneously boosting state pride and awareness of Kansas' principal industry.

This upcoming meeting is an opportunity for the public to engage with the board's activities. Those interested in attending can either join in person or participate virtually.

For details on the meeting's agenda or instructions on how to attend, Russell Plaschka, the agriculture marketing director, can be contacted at 785-564-7466 or via email at Russell.Plaschka@ks.gov.

The department also emphasizes inclusivity, encouraging individuals needing special accommodation to make their requirements known at least two days before the meeting.

The meeting is a crucial step in Kansas' agricultural agenda, focusing on marketing strategies for the agricultural community and providing a platform for stakeholders to contribute to the direction of agricultural marketing and advocacy.
