A limited-edition Kansas 250 Gift Box became available for purchase as part of preparations for America’s 250th birthday. The gift box was offered through the From the Land of Kansas state trademark program at the Kansas Department of Agriculture. The release provided a Kansas-themed way to recognize a historic national milestone.
On July 4, 2026, the United States planned to mark its Semiquincentennial, celebrating 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Kansans prepared to honor this anniversary by reflecting on the history, progress, and challenges that shaped the Heartland over generations.
Purchasing the Kansas 250 Gift Box supports Kansas-based agricultural businesses and food producers. In partnership with the Kansas 250 Commission, one dollar from each box sold was directed toward promoting Kansas 250 events and educational programming across the state. Information about these events was shared through the official Kansas 250 website.
The gift box launch included a special promotional giveaway. From the Land of Kansas announced a Kansas 250 Gift Box giveaway on its Facebook page, with the winner revealed on Kansas Day, January 29. In addition to online sales, the gift boxes were scheduled to be available at select Kansas for 250 events.
Each Kansas 250 Gift Box highlights products grown, raised, or produced in Kansas. The assortment included Sandhill plum jelly, burger seasoning, honey, red wine chocolate, kettle corn popcorn, beeswax lip balm, and a complimentary From the Land of Kansas–branded measuring spoon. Together, these items showcased the variety and quality of Kansas-made goods.
The From the Land of Kansas trademark program was created to promote agricultural products and experiences connected to Kansas. By offering the Kansas 250 Gift Box, the program continued its mission of supporting local businesses while helping celebrate an important moment in national and state history.
