Nine students from across Kansas have been awarded $1,000 Youth in Agriculture Scholarships. The awards are funded through the annual KLF Club Calf Sale, held in conjunction with the Kansas Junior Livestock Show in Hutchinson.
The scholarship program recognizes students who have demonstrated dedication to agriculture, leadership, and academic achievement. Through financial assistance, KLF continues to support the development of future agricultural professionals and livestock industry leaders across the state.
Four scholarship recipients will attend Butler Community College this fall. The students are Cole Dieball of Little River, Lakyn Huncovsky of Riley, Cami Miller of El Dorado, and Hayden Stubbs of Wallace.
Three recipients will continue their education at Hutchinson Community College. The scholarship winners are Kodi McComb of Pratt, Ella Neher of Pfeifer, and Ethan Petersilie of Rush Center.
The remaining award recipients are enrolled at other Kansas institutions. William Meinhardt of Onaga will attend Kansas State University, while Genayla Warnken of Manhattan is studying at Cloud County Community College.
The Youth in Agriculture Scholarship program reflects the Kansas Livestock Foundation’s commitment to investing in students pursuing agricultural education and career opportunities. By supporting higher education, the program helps prepare the next generation of leaders for careers in farming, ranching, livestock production, and other agriculture-related fields.
Proceeds from the annual KLF Club Calf Sale make these scholarships possible and contribute to continued educational opportunities for Kansas youth. Through its scholarship efforts, the foundation remains focused on strengthening the future of agriculture by encouraging leadership, professional development, and long-term involvement in the industry.
