Kansas Ranch Shines in Outdoor Adventure Series

By Scout Nelson

A Kansas ranch is highlighted in the latest episode of the “Voices of the Outdoors” video series produced by Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner. (BIWFD) brand. This national series pairs outdoor enthusiasts with beef producers to show how caring for the land and enjoying nature go hand in hand.

The Kansas Beef Council helped connect BIWFD with the featured ranch for the seventh installment of the program.

Each “Voices of the Outdoors” episode shares the story of a beef producer while spotlighting the beauty of the local landscape and the importance of sustainable practices.

The series is designed to reach wide audiences through YouTube, social media, and streaming television, encouraging viewers to see how beef production and outdoor recreation can work together to protect natural resources.

In this new episode, a professional gravel cyclist visits the Kansas Flint Hills, an area known for its unique tallgrass prairie ecosystem. The cyclist learns how beef production supports the preservation of native grasses and provides critical wildlife habitat.

The visit also emphasizes how ranchers maintain healthy land for both cattle and outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, and wildlife observation.

“Each episode is a collaboration between an outdoor enthusiast and a beef producer, facilitated by BIWFD and state beef council teams to showcase the shared values of caring for the land and experiencing the outdoors,” the series explains. This approach highlights the balance of responsible beef production with the enjoyment of open spaces.

The Kansas ranch featured in the video offers a vivid example of how agriculture and outdoor recreation can coexist. The episode shows a bike ride across scenic ranchland, reflecting the strong connection between maintaining healthy landscapes and providing opportunities for adventure.

By combining storytelling with breathtaking scenery, the “Voices of the Outdoors” series inspires viewers to appreciate both the food on their plates and the natural world around them.
