NCBA Announces Paid Spring 2026 Internships

By Scout Nelson

The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) is now accepting applications for spring 2026 semester internships with a strong connection to the Kansas cattle industry. These internships give students the chance to gain valuable professional experience while learning about policy, education, sustainability, and event planning.

“NCBA has opened applications for spring 2026 semester internships in the Colorado and Washington, D.C., offices. Internships are available for public policy, producer education and sustainability, and meetings and events.”

The public policy internship supports NCBA’s government affairs team in Washington, D.C. “The public policy intern supports NCBA’s government affairs team and allows students to learn more about lobbying, government relations and advocacy on behalf of the cattle and sheep industries.

This internship is in conjunction with the Public Lands Council, is full-time and based in Washington, D.C.” Students interested in Kansas agriculture policy will find this experience especially valuable.

The producer education and sustainability internship focuses on educational materials and sustainability initiatives. “The producer education and sustainability intern will assist in developing educational materials for cattle producers.

This position also will assist with outreach related to the checkoff-funded Beef Quality Assurance program and help advance the cattle industry’s sustainability initiatives through research and communications support. The internship is full-time and based in NCBA’s headquarters in Centennial, CO.”

For those drawn to event management, the meetings and events internship offer insight into organizing major industry gatherings. “The meetings and events intern will support the operations of large and small events, including the 2026 CattleCon.

The student will learn how to manage large-scale conventions and trade shows, in addition to the logistics behind smaller meetings and conferences. This internship is full-time and based in Centennial, CO.”

All internships run from January to May 2026 and are paid positions. “Applications are due by October 6. For more information and to apply, click here.”

Kansas students and others interested in the cattle industry can benefit from these internships by building skills in policy, sustainability, and event planning while connecting to the broader beef community.
