Kansas Soybean Commission Schedules March 8 Meeting
Kansas Ag Connection - 02/22/2021

The Kansas Soybean Commission plans to meet March 8 in Topeka. The meeting begins at 8 a.m.

On the agenda for this meeting, commissioners plan to review budget changes granted on research projects, review fiscal audits, receive program and organizational updates and more.

The two Commissioner-at-large positions are to be appointed at the meeting as well. Refer to this news release for details on this appointment. Because no candidates submitted petitions, the commissioners also will appoint a commissioner for Districts 1, 2 and 3 in the western third of the state.

The commissioners may go into executive session to discuss confidential, contractual matters.

To obtain a complete agenda or receive information about participating in the meeting, contact KSC Administrator Kaleb Little at little@kansassoybeans.org or call the Kansas Soybean office at 877-577-6923.

The Commission and its partner organizations have celebrated many successes since the December KSC meeting. Chairman Bob Haselwood shared the Commission's annual fiscal report with the Kansas House and Senate Agriculture Committees in January. He highlighted many of the projects made possible through the $3.9 million invested by the Commission, including the Kansas Commodity Flow Market Development task force. This collaboration with other groups in the state aims to evaluate and improve upon commodity transportation and infrastructure across the state.
