2024 Kansas custom rates survey now open

2024 Kansas custom rates survey now open

By Scout Nelson

To ensure the competitiveness and sustainability of agricultural operations, the Kansas Department of Agriculture (KDA), in partnership with the Land Use Survey Office at Kansas State University, is calling for participants in the 2024 Kansas Custom Rates Survey.

This vital survey aims to collect comprehensive data on the charges associated with custom work, feed preparation, and machinery rental services within the state's agricultural sector.

Understanding the market rates for custom agricultural services is essential for both service providers and those seeking such services, as it helps maintain fair pricing and sustainability within the industry.

Participation in this survey is voluntary, with assurances that all responses will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. The survey targets a wide range of respondents, including individuals, cooperatives, and local agribusinesses, and is designed to be completed in less than 15 minutes.

For those interested in contributing to this important initiative, the survey can be accessed online. Alternatively, individuals preferring a paper version of the survey can reach out to Leah Tsoodle at ltsoodle@ksu.edu or call (785) 532-3509 for assistance.

The survey window remains open until April 30, providing enough opportunity for widespread participation.

By engaging with this survey, stakeholders in the Kansas agricultural community can play a crucial role in shaping a more transparent and equitable marketplace for custom agricultural services.
