Farmers Union Reelects Larew and Kippley

By Jamie Martin

Members of the National Farmers Union voted unanimously to reelect Rob Larew as President and Jeff Kippley as Vice President during the organization’s 124th Anniversary Convention. Both leaders will continue serving in their roles for another two-year term.

“I am honored to have been given the full faith and confidence of the Farmers Union membership to continue fighting for family agriculture every day,” said Larew. “America’s family farmers and ranchers are the cornerstone of our country, and NFU is the strongest, most dedicated national organization fighting for them.”

The National Farmers Union represents family farmers and ranchers across the United States. The organization works to promote fair agricultural markets, support rural communities, and advocate policies that strengthen family agriculture.

During his time as president, Larew has focused on expanding engagement with Farmers Union members, particularly younger farmers who represent the next generation of agricultural leaders. His leadership has helped strengthen the organization’s commitment to supporting family farms now and in the future.

One of Larew’s major initiatives has been the Fairness for Farmers’ campaign. This campaign raises awareness about the effects of corporate consolidation in agriculture and encourages policies that promote fair competition and stronger markets for farmers.

Before becoming president, Larew gained valuable experience working in Congress and with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He also served as the organization’s Senior Vice President of Public Policy and Communications from 2016 to 2020. Alongside his leadership work, Larew and his family operate a farm in Greenville, West Virginia.

“Being trusted by our family farmers and ranchers to advocate for them in Washington and across the country is one of the greatest honors of my career,” said Kippley. “We have important work ahead, and I look forward to partnering with President Larew once again to get it done.”

Jeff Kippley begins his third term as Vice President of the organization. Kippley farms near Aberdeen, South Dakota, where his family raises cattle as well as corn and soybeans. He also operates a tax business that provides services to family farmers in his region.

As Vice President, Kippley helps represent farmers in policy discussions and national agricultural conversations. His work supports efforts to improve economic opportunities for farmers and strengthen rural communities.

Together, Larew and Kippley will continue leading the organization as it works to advocate for policies that support family farmers and ranchers while ensuring a strong future for agriculture in the United States.
