The National FFA Organization and Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Science (MANRRS) have recently announced a partnership designed to nurture diversity, equity, and inclusion within the agricultural industry.
As Scott Stump, CEO of the National FFA Organization, expressed, this union with MANRRS will bolster efforts to expand their impact on agriculture, food, and natural resources. Particularly, the focus will be on marginalized and underrepresented populations. This commitment towards a shared vision makes their partnership an important catalyst for change.
MANRRS, with a four-decade history, is a prime location for diverse talent recruitment in agricultural fields. Dr. Derris Burnett, the national president, emphasizes the importance of the organization's relationship with the National FFA Organization, aiming for a more equitable and inclusive future.
The collaboration between MANRRS and FFA is expected to make agriculture more accessible, remove barriers for young individuals, and support the growth of NextGen careers in the industry.
The National FFA Organization, known for its youth leadership development programs, is currently home to over 850,000 student members. The organization spans across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, with a network of 8,995 local FFA chapters.
