Industry Titans Discuss the Road Ahead for Agriculture


EPA Administrator Michael Regan will share his perspective on vital issues facing the agency at the Ag Outlook Forum in Kansas City on September 25. The forum, organized by the Agricultural Business Council of Kansas City and Agri-Pulse Communications, has become a "must attend" event for agribusiness executives looking to gain insights for the fall harvest.

Top economists, industry leaders, and government officials will gather to offer unique insights on environmental and economic challenges in agriculture. Various other speakers are:

• Denver Caldwell is John Deere's director of sales for the United States and Canada.

• Cargill Protein North America President Hans Kabat.

• President and CEO of Nutrien is Ken Seitz.

Seth Meyer, the USDA's chief economist, will moderate a panel discussion on the agricultural sector, with panelists:

• StoneX's head commodities economist, Arlan Suderman.

• Lead economist for the National Corn Growers Association, Krista Swanson.

• Roland Fumasi, EVP & North American regional head at RaboResearch Food & Agribusiness.

• The discussion will be moderated by Sara Wyant from Agri-Pulse.

The program will include a discussion on the 2023 farm bill prospects, led by Missouri farmer Blake Hurst, with invited panelists U.S. Representatives Sharice Davids (D-KS) and Tracey Mann (R-KS).
