KFB Annual Meeting Celebrates Leadership

The 107th KFB Annual Meeting will take place from Saturday, December 6 through Monday, December 8, bringing members together for three days of learning, recognition, and policy discussions. All events will be held at the Manhattan Conference Center unless otherwise stated. The schedule offers a full lineup of workshops, awards, meetings, and networking opportunities designed to support agricultural leadership.

The event begins on Saturday with time allotted for Silent Auction item drop-off from 4 to 6 p.m. A reception follows at 5 p.m., leading into KFB’s Foundations’ Fundraiser Event at 6 p.m., which features a “Roaring ‘20s Murder Mystery” experience.

Sunday opens with Vespers at 7:30 a.m. Registration and the Silent Auction start at 7:45 a.m. The General Session begins at 8:30 a.m. and includes several award presentations, such as County Farm Bureau awards, Membership Traveling Trophy, Friends of Agriculture awards, Natural Resources award, Media awards, Partnership award, YF&R awards, and the Rural Minds Matter award. The keynote address includes remarks from AFBF President Zippy Duvall.

At 9 a.m., the Tradeshow opens, followed by county delegate photos at 10:30 a.m. Round 1 Workshops begin at 11 a.m., and an open discussion of resolutions starts at 11:50 a.m. Lunch is scheduled from noon to 1:20 p.m., offering several group meal options. Round 2 Workshops begin at 1:30 p.m. The Silent Auction and Tradeshow close at 3 p.m.

An afternoon reception takes place at KFB Headquarters at 3:15 p.m., followed by a Policy Update and Townhall at 3:45 p.m. Silent Auction purchase pickup is available from 4 to 6 p.m.

The evening includes a reception and county delegate photos at 5:30 p.m. before the banquet at 6:30 p.m., which features remarks from KFB President Joe Newland, Distinguished Service Award recognitions, Farm Families of the Year awards, Leadership KFB recognition, and Casten Fellows graduation.

Monday begins with registration and a candidate forum at 7:30 a.m. Caucus meetings follow at 8 a.m. A networking break and county delegate photos take place at 9 a.m. The business session convenes at 9:30 a.m., during which delegates elect an at-large board member recommended to serve as Vice President.
