For the week ending Sunday, there were 2.8 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 6 percent very short, 11 short, 60 adequate, and 23 surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 6 percent very short, 11 short, 67 adequate, and 16 surplus.

Winter wheat condition rated 3 percent very poor, 11 poor, 38 fair, 41 good, and 7 excellent.
