AGI launches fourth annual safety week with global participation

By Jamie Martin

This April, Ag Growth International (AGI) kicked off its fourth annual One AGI Safety Week, aimed at reinforcing a zero-harm work environment across its global operations. The event, running from April 22-26, 2024, underscores AGI’s commitment to embedding safety as a core value within the organization.

With the theme "Safer Acts and Safer Conditions," the week is a call to action for employees to uphold and exceed the stringent safety standards set by AGI. Throughout the week, employees engage in various activities designed to strengthen the safety culture, share best practices, and bolster their dedication to creating a harm-free workplace.

The week also marks the commencement of nominations for the AGI annual Safety Awards, celebrating individuals and teams who exemplify outstanding safety practices. These awards spotlight significant safety achievements and innovations across three categories - Outstanding Performance, Progress in Safety, and Safety at a Customer Site or Project.

Historically, AGI has celebrated milestones such as facilities achieving up to ten years without a lost time incident, with this year's notable mentions including sites in Olds, AB; Joplin, MO; Nobleford, AB; and Marshall, IL. These acknowledgments not only honor past achievements but also inspire ongoing commitment to safety across all AGI locations.

As AGI continues to lead by example in the realm of industrial safety, the One AGI Safety Week serves as a pivotal time to reflect on past successes and drive future efforts in maintaining a safe, productive work environment for all employees.
