The Tenth Annual Kansas Corn Summer Listening Tour is set to visit four counties in August, offering corn growers updates on issues, networking opportunities, and meals — all at no cost.
The events will feature policy discussions, ethanol updates, and overviews of Kansas Corn’s programs. Attendees will also learn about efforts in market development, research, and new uses. These dinners give Kansas Corn leaders and staff the chance to share insights and hear directly from producers.
Here’s the schedule for the 2025 Listening Tour:
- August 6 in Sheridan County at Rexford, from 6–8 p.m. (registration at 5:30 p.m.)
- August 7 in Washington County at Palmer, from 6–8 p.m. (registration at 5:30 p.m.)
- August 12 in Sedgwick County at TopGolf, Wichita, from 6–9 p.m. (registration at 5:30 p.m.)
This event includes an ethanol update from Phil Near, owner of JumpStart Stores, and a chance to play golf.
August 13 in Shawnee County, Topeka, offers a special Transition Planning Workshop from 2:30–5:30 p.m. (registration at 2 p.m.), followed by dinner at 6 p.m.
The workshop is led by AgriLegacy and Bison Financial Legacies, LLC and is typically fee-based — but Kansas Corn offers it for free to growers.
“These events are great opportunities to learn about issues facing corn producers, catch up with other growers and enjoy a great meal with Kansas Corn.”
The tour is designed to engage growers, gather feedback, and support effective planning by the Kansas Corn Association and Commission. All growers are encouraged to attend and join the conversation shaping the future of corn in Kansas.
