The State Conservation Commission (SCC) will hold its regular meeting on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Kansas Agribusiness Retailers Association, located at 816 SW Tyler Street in Topeka. A virtual attendance option is also available for those unable to attend in person.
The SCC is composed of five elected commissioners, along with representatives from the Kansas State University Agriculture Experiment Station, the Cooperative Extension Service, the Kansas Department of Agriculture, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service. This team collaborates to safeguard Kansas’ natural resources.
The Kansas Department of Agriculture’s Division of Conservation works closely with the SCC to create policies and programs that help local communities and individuals conserve renewable resources across the state.
This meeting, open to the public, is part of the SCC's ongoing efforts to enhance natural resource management. To learn more, access the virtual link, or request an agenda, contact the Division of Conservation at kda.doc@ks.gov or call 785-564-6620. Those needing special accommodations should make arrangements at least 24 hours in advance.
This is an excellent opportunity to engage in conservation efforts and stay informed.
