Five Kansas college students have received scholarships from the Kansas Livestock Foundation (KLF) to support their agriculture-focused education. These awards were funded through contributions made during the Kansas Livestock Association (KLA) Convention and by generous industry partners.
Two students at Kansas State University were awarded $1,000 GoBob America’s Ranch Equipment Scholarships. These scholarships were made possible through funds raised by the auction of a GoBob hay feeder. GoBob supplies farm and ranch equipment like steel pipes, gates, fencing materials, and heavy-duty tools.
In addition, Hampel Oil/Mobil Delvac $1,000 Scholarships were presented to two more students. Hampel Oil is a family-operated business with six Kansas locations and made a donation to KLF to support this scholarship program.
One student earned the $1,500 Grass & Grain Scholarship, made possible through the donation of an advertising package. This package was auctioned during the KLA Convention. Grass & Grain is a long-standing agricultural publication with a strong reader base across Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Missouri.
According to the announcement, “Funding for these scholarships was generated through proceeds from the auction of a GoBob hay feeder at the KLA Convention.”
These scholarships reflect KLF’s commitment to advancing agricultural education and recognizing the next generation of agricultural professionals in the region. The support from Kansas agribusinesses helps ensure students have the financial resources needed to pursue degrees in agriculture and related fields.
With continued community and industry support, KLF remains dedicated to its mission of investing in agricultural youth. These awards highlight the strong partnership between the agricultural industry and higher education across Kansas.
