Kansas Ag Connection - 09/13/2021

The 2021 Making Kansas Bus Tour is ready to roll.

Hosted by the Kansas Manufacturing Council (KMC), in partnership with Kansas Manufacturing Solutions and Kansas Chamber, the tour begins Sept. 13 in Pittsburg and makes its way around the state, ending in Burlington on Sept. 16.

The tour will highlight the state's manufacturing industry and the great career opportunities it offers. It also will help raise awareness about the 2021 Coolest Thing Made In Kansas contest currently underway and the 2021 Kansas Manufacturing Summit, scheduled for Oct. 11-12 at the Kansas Star Casino and Event Center.

Community tours will take place in Pittsburg, Atchison, Dodge City, Great Bend, Hutchinson, and Leavenworth. Members of the media interesting in riding the bus during those tours should email Sherriene Jones-Sontag.

The tour will make pit stops in Spring Hill, Topeka, Pratt, Emporia, and Burlington.

The bus then will visit manufacturers in the Wichita area on Friday, October 1st in celebration of 2021 National Manufacturing Day.
