Kansas FFA Day 2025 Breaks Records

By Scout Nelson

Give FFA Day 2025 was a historic success for the Kansas FFA Foundation, raising more than $59,000 on February 20. Nearly 400 donors contributed, making it the most successful fundraising event in Kansas FFA history. The state also ranked third in national giving, showing strong support for agricultural education. Previously, the highest amount raised was $23,000, making this year’s achievement even more remarkable.

The Foundation set a goal of $40,000, which was surpassed by 2:00 p.m. Donations came from all 105 counties in Kansas, as well as 24 states, Washington, D.C., and Canada, reflecting widespread support for FFA programs.

“Give FFA Day’s success was incredible,” said Jory Ratzlaff, State FFA President. “Kansas ranking in the top three nationwide shows the strong support for our members. This achievement means more opportunities for nearly 14,000 Kansas FFA members. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.”

The funds raised will support FFA members, assist agricultural educators, and provide leadership training, career development, and hands-on learning experiences. These contributions will help students gain valuable skills for the future.

“We are incredibly grateful for our donors,” said Kevin Davis, Kansas FFA Foundation Board of Trustees. “Their generosity strengthens FFA programs, equips educators, and creates life-changing opportunities for students. Give FFA Day 2025 proves the collective commitment to Kansas agriculture’s future.”

Matching partners played a key role in boosting contributions, including Mustang Seed, Ag Partners Cooperative, Keith and Sheri Westervelt, Grass and Grain Newspaper, Jerry and Anita DeWeese, Mark Mayfield, S&S Rock Crushing, Kansas State University Ag Education Club, and the Kansas FFA Foundation Board of Trustees.

Building on this success, the Kansas FFA Foundation is now preparing for the 97th Kansas FFA Convention. The event will be held at Kansas State University from May 27 to May 30, 2025, bringing together FFA chapters and guests to celebrate agricultural education.
