Kelly Kindscher, scientist with the Kansas Biological Survey & Center for Ecological Research, will offer an informal tour of the University of Kansas Native Medicinal Plant Garden from 7 to 8:30 p.m. June 21.
People will explore the garden and see the work of the Douglas County Extension Master Gardeners, who partner with the KU research center to manage the garden. KU also will discuss the new native planting in the center of the demonstration garden. Participants will tour all areas of the garden, including the dye garden and the KU Community Garden.
The garden, which is part of the KU Field Station, is open every day, dawn to dusk. It is next to Prairie Moon Waldorf School just north of Highway 24/40.
