The Kansas Livestock Foundation (KLF) is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2026–27 school year. These scholarships support students who plan to build careers in agriculture and livestock production. Applicants must graduate from a Kansas high school and enroll in a Kansas community or senior college for the fall 2026 semester.
The program offers a wide range of scholarships supported by different partners and donors. The Merck Cartridges for Cash program provides $1,500 scholarships for veterinary students at Kansas State University and $1,000 awards for undergraduate students studying animal science.
These students are expected to take part in livestock production activities. Special consideration is also given to applicants from Morris County due to strong participation in the program.
Several organizations contribute to the scholarship program. Hampel Oil and Mobil Delvac provide $1,000 scholarships for upper-level students at Kansas State University and Fort Hays State University. GoBob America’s Ranch Equipment supports a $1,000 award for students in their second year or above. Equity Bank offers one of the highest awards at $2,500 for junior or senior students. Rally House, Grass and Grain, and HydraBed also provide scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $1,500.
Additional scholarships are funded through special programs and donations. Proceeds from the 2025 KLF Club Calf Sale support Youth in Agriculture scholarships. Kansas CattleWomen donations also fund awards for students. Memorial scholarships are available in honor of individuals such as Doug Laue and Fred H. Woodbury, supporting students in specific fields or regions.
Students can apply for all scholarships using one application form available online. For questions about the program, contact Shelbi Wiggs at shelbi@kla.org. All application materials must be submitted digitally by April 10.
In 2025, the KLF scholarship program awarded 35 students a total of $39,500. This program continues to play an important role in supporting education and encouraging young people to pursue careers in agriculture.
