Commercial Pesticide Training Workshop

Commercial Pesticide Training Workshop

By Scout Nelson

The 2025 Commercial Pesticide Applicator Training Workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This one-day workshop provides a valuable opportunity for professionals in agriculture, horticulture, and community landscape management to enhance their knowledge and earn credits toward certification renewal.

The event, organized by Kansas State Research and Extension (KSRE) Sedgwick County, is open to all community and working professionals. Participants will benefit from expert-led sessions focused on safe and effective pesticide use, application techniques, and the latest updates in lawn, garden, and agricultural pest management.

Credits toward recertification will be available for Commercial Applicators in categories 3A (Ornamental) and 3B (Turf). These sessions are designed to help applicators meet state requirements while improving workplace safety and environmental stewardship.

Registration is now open, with an early bird rate of $70 per person available until November 5. After that date, the cost will increase to $85 per person. Interested participants are encouraged to register early, as seats are limited and registration will close on Wednesday, November 12, or once all spots are filled.

Workshops like this play a vital role in supporting the agricultural community by ensuring that pesticide applicators remain up-to-date on best practices and regulatory standards. By attending, professionals can connect with peers, gain valuable insights, and strengthen their commitment to safe and responsible pesticide management.

This workshop reflects KSRE’s ongoing mission to promote agricultural education and sustainable community practices across Kansas.
