Kansas Corn has announced the recipients of its 2025 Next Generation Scholarships, awarding 12 undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate potential in shaping the future of agriculture. These scholarships are provided by the Kansas Corn Commission and the Kansas Corn Growers Association to support students across all majors interested in agriculture.
The program is designed to give students opportunities to understand the corn industry, explore current challenges in agriculture, and prepare to contribute to the sector through their future careers. Applicants were required to be Kansas Corn Growers Association members or related to one, be from Kansas or attend a Kansas college, and complete a full application. Final selections were made by a panel of Kansas Corn leaders and industry experts.
“This group of young professionals is outstanding,” said the Kansas Corn programs manager. “They all represent a bright future for our industry and our grower leaders are honored to financially support their education.”
Among the graduate-level scholarship recipients were students studying Agricultural Education, Communications, and Agronomy at Kansas State University. Undergraduate recipients represented fields such as Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Animal Sciences, and Global Food Systems Leadership, with students attending Kansas State and Fort Hays State.
The scholarship program reflects Kansas Corn’s continued dedication to education and leadership development. By investing in students, the organization aims to inspire the next generation to become advocates, researchers, and professionals who will drive innovation and sustainability in agriculture.
These scholarships are part of Kansas Corn’s broader mission to grow the industry and prepare young leaders who can address future challenges while advancing corn production and agricultural practices in Kansas and beyond.
