Kansas Farm Bureau Campaign School Registration Open

Kansas Farm Bureau Campaign School Registration Open

By Scout Nelson

Kansas Farm Bureau announces that registration is open for its Campaign School and a series of mini training sessions planned across the state. These programs are designed to help individuals who plan to run public offices or support local campaigns to build strong leadership and campaign management skills.

The main Campaign School takes place April 15 and 16 at the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce. This two-day training offers in-depth learning for current office holders' future candidates, campaign managers and volunteer leaders. Participants learn about campaign strategy, budgeting, fundraising voter identification, and communication skills.

“Putting your name on the ballot for any public office is the first step of many before raising your hand and swearing your oath of office,” KFB’s Director of Political Affairs Brenden Wirth says. “KFB’s Campaign School can help you take crucial steps to give you a winning advantage on Election Day. This program has been used across the nation with candidates winning more than 80 percent of their races.”

The program follows a nonpartisan and unbiased approach. National state and local political experts provide guidance to ensure participants gain real world knowledge and practical tools. The school also supports current office holders who want to improve their campaign performance.

Campaign School is limited to 20 participants. The cost is $300 for Kansas Farm Bureau members and $350 for nonmembers. Each participant may bring one campaign team member for an added fee.

In addition to the main school, Kansas Farm Bureau offers seven mini sessions across different communities from March through September. These sessions provide a shorter learning option and focus on the basics of campaign management. Each mini session runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and is open to up to 20 participants.

Mini sessions are offered in Manhattan Overland Park Independence, Beloit Dodge City Colby, and Hutchinson. Costs are lower than the main school, making them more accessible to community members interested in leadership training.

Registration and full details for both Campaign School and mini sessions are available online. Membership options that are also offered to help participants save on registration fees.

These training programs support leadership growth and encourage informed participation in local government and community development efforts across Kansas.
