Kansas Promotes Beef with Bold Billboards

Kansas Promotes Beef with Bold Billboards

By Scout Nelson

As part of its summer campaign, the Kansas Beef Council (KBC) launched a new series of billboards across the state. These nine billboards are designed to connect emotionally with consumers during one of the peak beef-buying seasons of the year.

Each billboard features messaging that emphasizes home, comfort, and family. Phrases like “There’s No Taste Like Home,” “Raised Right, Right Here,” and “Welcome to Beef Country” remind people of the warmth and satisfaction of meals made with beef. These messages are intended to reinforce the idea that beef is a trusted and cherished part of Kansas traditions.

"The signage taps into the connection Kansans have with food, family and the place they call home."

The billboards have been strategically placed in high-traffic areas throughout Kansas. Their goal is to reach everyday commuters and families on summer road trips, making beef a central part of their seasonal celebrations and everyday meals.

These outdoor ads are one piece of KBC’s larger “Beef Brings Us Together” campaign. Other parts of the campaign include television commercials, connected TV placements, and social media outreach, all aiming to maintain beef’s strong presence in households across the state.

By using simple yet powerful messaging, KBC ensures that consumers are reminded of beef’s role in their lives. Whether it’s a holiday barbecue or a weeknight dinner, the campaign highlights beef’s ability to bring people together around the table.

This initiative reflects a thoughtful approach to food promotion—focusing not only on taste and quality, but also on emotion and shared experiences that define Kansas communities.
