The annual Kansas State University Beef Cattle and Forage Field Day is set for August 3 in Parsons. It will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Southeast Research and Extension Center.
Presentations will include a discussion on flies and ticks by Cassandra Olds, assistant professor in K-State’s Department of Entomology; herd dispersal and reentering production with Scott Clawson, Oklahoma State University agricultural economics specialist; supplementing stockers on pasture from Jaymelynn Farney, K-State beef systems specialist; pasture management during drought with Dale Helwig, Cherokee County agricultural agent;
