KDA Pet Animal Board Meets in June

By Scout Nelson

The Kansas Department of Agriculture (KDA) has announced that its Pet Animal Advisory Board will hold its regular quarterly meeting on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. The session will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will take place at the Kansas Department of Agriculture office, located at 1320 Research Park Drive in Manhattan, Kansas.

This quarterly meeting is an important opportunity for those involved in animal health and facility oversight to share information, review regulations, and discuss updates within the pet animal industry. The meeting is open to the public, and anyone interested in animal care, facility inspection, or related areas is encouraged to attend.

Attendees can view or download the meeting agenda by visiting the KDA website at agriculture.ks.gov/KPAAB. The agenda provides details on the topics that will be discussed and can help participants prepare questions or suggestions they may want to raise during the meeting.

Individuals who would like more information about the event are encouraged to contact Sasha Thomason, director of the Animal Facilities Inspection Program, at Sasha.Thomason@ks.gov. Additional inquiries can also be made by calling the Division of Animal Health at 785-564-6601.

Persons with disabilities or those needing special accommodation should make their needs known at least 24 hours before the meeting. The Kansas Department of Agriculture is committed to making sure all community members have equal access to participation in its programs.

This meeting supports the KDA’s mission to advocate for safe and healthy environments for both animals and the public by ensuring open communication and updated policies.
