For the week ending Sunday, there were 5.5 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service.

Topsoil moisture supplies rated 35% very short, 32% short, 32% adequate, and 1% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 44% very short, 35% short, 21% adequate, and 0% surplus.

Winter wheat condition rated 25% very poor, 25% poor, 31% fair, 17% good, and 2% excellent.
