This year marks a significant milestone for Agriland, the interactive agricultural education exhibit at the Kansas State Fair, celebrating 30 years of hands-on learning.
Over the decades, Agriland has welcomed thousands of visitors of all ages, helping them understand where their food comes from and offering engaging lessons on Kansas agriculture.
To commemorate three decades of connecting fairgoers with farming, Agriland is introducing a Gleaner combine cab, made possible through a special partnership with AGCO Corporation. Visitors will have the chance to climb inside the cab and see firsthand the view from one of farming’s most iconic machines.
The addition is particularly meaningful because of Gleaner’s strong Kansas heritage. Invented in 1923 in Nickerson, Kansas, the Gleaner combine has become a symbol of American agriculture. By showcasing it at the state fair, Agriland highlights both innovation in farming and the state’s historical role in agricultural development.
Alongside the new combine cab, Agriland has refreshed its booth layout, creating a more open and inviting space for families, students, and curious visitors to explore the world of agriculture.
“We’re so proud to celebrate 30 years of Agriland at the Kansas State Fair,” said Briana Jacobus, Assistant Director of Kansas Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom.
“This year’s new Gleaner cab and refreshed booth layout make the experience even more interactive, and we can’t wait to welcome visitors to learn more about the role agriculture plays in everyday life.”
Agriland will be open daily from September 5 to 14, 2025, inviting fairgoers to explore exhibits and celebrate three decades of agricultural education and fun.
