Celebrate local flavor in burger contest

By Scout Nelson

The Arkansas Beef Council is thrilled to unveil the top 10 finalists of the inaugural Arkansas’s Best Burger Contest, a statewide competition that celebrates 100% beef burgers prepared by restaurants in Arkansas. This contest aims to highlight the culinary talents of local establishments while promoting the use of high-quality beef.

To determine the finalists, the Beef Council selected the top two burgers from each of the five regions in the state. An anonymous panel of judges will visit each restaurant on the list to sample the burgers, and the winner will be announced by the end of October.

“We are thrilled to announce the top 10 finalists in the first Arkansas’s Best Burger Contest,” said Beef Council Administrator Tillman Treat. “With more than 2,400 nominations submitted from across the state, the competition highlights the passion and pride Arkansans have for their local burger joints and the quality beef they serve.”

This contest not only emphasizes the significance of local businesses but also underscores the importance of supporting Arkansas’s beef industry. By showcasing delicious beef burgers, the Arkansas Beef Council aims to engage the community and encourage more people to explore local dining options.

The enthusiasm surrounding the contest reflects Arkansans' love for their burgers and their commitment to promoting local flavors. As the judges embark on their tasting journey, excitement builds among the competing restaurants and their loyal customers.

The finalists represent a diverse array of burger styles and flavors, making the competition even more enticing. Whether it’s a classic cheeseburger or a unique gourmet creation, each finalist has put their best foot forward to impress the judges.
